1. Realize you are a sinner and death is the penalty of sins.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

2. Realize that Jesus has paid the price for your sins by dying on the cross.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

3. Repent of your sins and ask the Lord to forgive you.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

4. Ask Jesus to be your Savior and believe on His name.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9, 13)
